@violetkathyw @DavidESmitty @WendiLouWho00 Not necessarily. You have to be dual eligible (meaning Medicare/Medicaid) or I'm learning there can be exceptions if a patient has a chronic condition. It's not as easy as you think...hence my complaint.

Caremark has consistently been taking much needed drugs off its formulary for at least 3-4 years now. They make you fight for them on an appeal. If it is a really expensive drug and you need it, have a lawyer help with the appeal. They do a better job than regular people in pitching a need so the appeal gets approved.

@KDuanePharmD Certain manufacturers have higher prices with our wholesalers. Our software pulls our wholesaler's catalog. Whether we source it from there or not. Either way it doesn't matter if you'd submit ingredient cost for $1million or $100k, they're going to reimburse you the same.

@BradPharm Slightly off topic, but what is your ingredient cost submitted 120k when that amount of drug costs $800? That makes it so PBMs can say “we save America trillions!!!!!” by just adjusting Pluto-level sticker prices down to actual.
