Make healthcare degrees free again and provide a bursary for those students at university. If you want to encourage 18 year olds to support the country’s national interest, start by taking steps to make healthcare an attractive career again

Today I am creating a presentation to outline the benefits to employers who support their employees with armed forces reserves service. Enhanced skills, improved performance, employer recognition, strategic advantages, and valuable resources are a few from my exhaustive list.

I was fortunate enough to meet Dame Liz at university, and she is a remarkable woman with a fantastic sense of humour. Her generous bursary, which is given to a nursing student to advance their education, contributed to my project in Auckland. I’ll always remember her. #Legacy🕊️

I was recently asked about my leadership weaknesses, and the steps I have taken to overcome these. On the spot, this is a tricky question to answer; but utilising the importance of reflection allows us the time to gather our thoughts. So, here’s mine: 🧵

Of course, I wish I’d have been able to articulate all of this on the spot; but being kind to yourself, taking a moment to reflect on the significant personal development effort you have invested, and practicing how to articulate your achievements will get you there eventually.

I have never succumbed to my weaknesses, in fact I have sustained aspiration to overcome them. I want to be the very best leader I can be, and I have a track record of actively choosing jobs / roles which facilitate this development; often with necessary personal sacrifices.
