⚠️@CanesBaseball VS @NCStateBaseball SERIES PREVIEW NC State has been struggling to get back on track, dropping their last two series to Wake and Virginia Tech. Sitting 10-11 in ACC play (28-16) they’ve been a 3 seed in a lot of field of 64 projections, but with their remaining schedule this feels like a must win. Miami on the other hand has won 6 consecutive series, finding new ways to win overcoming injuries and lackluster defense. In order to keep the slim hosting dreams alive The Canes will have to break out of their offensive rut and settle in quickly on the bump. Won’t be easy without Cuvet but this team has plenty of players capable of being impactful. Keys For The Canes: 🔑Lyndon Glidewell: We’ve all been impressed with his performance up to this point and he seems to be getting better. Going to be another close one so we’ll need his best to close out games. 🔑Alex Sosa: since Game1 against Stanford he’s hitting .250 (6-25). No better time for him to start hitting those doubles again with Cuvet out. 🔑CLEAN DEFENSE: NCstate only strikes out 15% of the time(#1 in ACC). ⭐️A look at Milano⭐️ Hitting .333 (5-15) 1HR 3RBI in the 4 games since Cuvet has been out. No shortage of talent, I have no doubt he’s capable of contributing. And with the DH spot being up for grabs, Milano has a chance to earn a spot even after Cuvet returns. Excited to see how his ABs progress now that he’ll be seeing consistent work.
