All classes completed a task set by the Pupil Council for Aberdeen’s Chalk Don’t Chalk Challenge 2026! The children had to think about words or phrases to describe what makes our school special. We made our designs using different colours and creative lettering styles.

Primary 1-3 worked hard on a display where we wrote down 5 trusted adults that we can talk to in school. We thought carefully about what is important to us in a good adult.

Tomorrow, children can dressed as they please in a way that celebrates their personality for our Rights Day. Article 29 (Aims of Education) explicitly states that education should develop the child’s personality, talents and mental & physical abilities to their fullest potential.

P7S The class created some absolutely beautiful artwork for their 2026 calendars! 🌳 🌸 ❄️ 🍁

P7H Our lovely 2026 calendars went home with their artists last week! We looked at the design of stained glass windows and discussed how we could pick a single icon to represent each season, using oil pastels to bring our images to life! ☀️❄️🌸🍁

P7s are going to be creating a digital community as part of our topic. Today's task was to create a house using Minecraft Education. We had to choose a plot of land to build in, and consider how the house faced the road, how it was accessible etc. Mr Carbis was really impressed!

A fantastic Sports Day this afternoon! Thanks to all the families that came along to support their child. 😊

It was lovely to meet our new families and returning families starting Nursery next session at tonight’s Nursery Induction meeting. 😊
