30 years ago this screen quietly created the greatest hobby in gaming history. A simple decision between three pixels ended up shaping collections, friendships and playground hierarchies for decades. Happy Pokémon Day everyone!!

I grew up poor and didn’t really get a lot of the new things. A friend of mine gave me this card to show me Pokemon I was at his house and he told me how there was a game. I begged my mom for a GameBoy and blue version. I chose Bulbasaur because of this one card (I didn’t even know Pikachu yet)… and I’ve been here for 28 years.
