@popoolaadaniel @Adaeze_Oreh @MrMekzy_ @aproko_doctor @ToviaMonday @Moh_eye_doctor @the_beardedsina You go true the stress of surgery and all and then you allow some nonchalant HCW ruin everything because "you respect their role" abi. There's some element of truth to your argument, but it's way more complex than what you portray.

Maybe what they said about doctors was right, maybe we're too egotistic, too proud and arrogant. Maybe they're right. We think we can do it all, we think we're better than everyone, it started by creeping now we boldly do it in broadday light. Maybe it's true that we feel we're more intelligent than everyone else, it's glaring but we're too proud to see it. We get defensive whenever we're called out, by our actions we speak loudly calling everyone else dumb. We have stolen everyone else's job yet we dare open our mouths to say that other health care workers are encroaching into our jurisdiction. We have stolen the NURSES jobs in many hospitals, basically telling them by our actions that they're unintelligent and incapable of doing things right. IV access, IV medications, blood transfusions, Urethral catheterization, collecting of samples, passage of NG tube, doing vitals and so on. It's time to look in and realise the extent of damage that we've done as medical doctors and the insults we have given to our nurse colleagues. We have stolen the ATTENDANTS job, basically telling them that they're no good, we now use House officers to do their jobs, going to lab, following results, wheeling patients, going to collect blood and so on, we have encroached and stolen their jobs and we mask it as "Dedication to patient's care" but we've encroached with our arrogance and know it all attitude. We have even stolen PATIENT'S RELATIVES jobs... And the honest truth is that we truly don't realize that we're the ones destroying the team work of the medical sector, we do wardrounds and other HCWs are scared to put in their input because of the arrogance of some doctors, because of the fear that they would be humiliated in front of everyone. This has to stop. We owe every HCW out there an apology, because DOCTORS ARE THE GREATEST ENCROACHERS OF JURISDICTION of other HCWs. It's time for a change, it's time for us to be united as a medical team, it's time for us to begin to respect everyone's role in the management of patients.

LinkedIn is such a “do me I do you”platform. Very very transactional place😂🤌🏿. In my 23 days of showing up there, I have learnt that it’s 80% engagements to the ratio of 20% of your own posts. If you want to grow, you need to engage posts like your life depends on it.

I have serious question to ask: Do your current habits support the kind of professional you want to be at 40? Or just the kind you need to survive this year?

I didn’t start caring about ageing because I’m “passionate.” I started because I saw how many professionals break down early physically and emotionally without realizing it was preventable. Geriatric care taught me more about young people than old people.

Ageing Well Advice: Adequate sleep, sensible diet, regular physical activity, early detection of common metabolic disorders, evidence-based cancer screening, social engagement and a sense of purpose consistently do more for health span than any unproven anti-aging product.
