Denis Villeneuve wasn't going to come back for Dune Part Three so quickly. "I felt a responsibility to finish the story," he said. "The image of Dune Part Three, inspired by Dune Messiah, kept coming back, kept coming back, and I said, 'Well, alright. Let's do it.'"

Javier Bardem explained Stilgar's journey in Dune Part Three. "It takes him to a place where, he sees these realities of what being empowered means after so long. And he's seeing this, contradiction between the loyalty to the idea that he strongly fought and believed like back in the day, and also the result of the idea becoming something that he thinks or feels that he may not be the thought that one day he dreamed about it sounds complicated, but, so is a complicated book."

Dune Part Three will age the characters 17 years with make-up and effects captured in-camera. “The world is not… I have imagination, I can deal with that. Aging actors is more tricky and, and I decided to go, with more in the subtle way in front of the camera.”

Dune Part Three will have Hans Zimmer return to score. Denis Villeneuve: "Hans is working on the music already and he's scoring. It's going to be, like the movie is different, the score will be different and it's something that Hans is very excited about."
