Just texted my assistant about a court date on Sleptember 1. Vote for me in the next election and I will add a new month, Sleptember which allows people to catch up on sleep.

@IRPlawyer I once had someone really slow and disorganized announce to the line behind them, “I’m from the states, so I’m not used to this security.” … you know the country that invented modern airport security post 9/11.

Since travel is about to open up again, I am announcing my campaign for 2 security lines at the airport. One for people who are fast, organized, and know what they are doing. One for people who have 8 laptops, don’t know whether shoes go on or off, and fail to remove liquids.

Working on a judicial review application for a client today and noticed that the decision grounded a question of statutory interpretation on the basis of a REPEALED provision of the legislation. Anyone have case law to suggest this amounts to perversity in a proceeding?

Honestly @EfrayimMoldofs1 is one of my fav Twitter accounts for tweeting out cases. So I don’t miss his tweets I have a notification set for when he tweets. It’s weird but each time he tweets out a case I’m like wow, that’s appalling but also useful for me.

@IRPlawyer One of these days a Judge will follow that up with... “and it was enough to convince me,” I still hold out hope for that at least everytime I hear this.

@IRPlawyer @landcrabmech I’m not so sure that the one touch rule applies to mounted phones when listening to music. If you read the regulations it is not listed as one of the requirements under that sub section. I would argue the one touch only applies to mounted phones for voice calls.

@IRPlawyer @BCProvCourt I was in traffic court at UFV today. It was really easy to find and the building is indicated on the hearing notice.

If you have a @BCProvCourt appearance at Kwantlen today for traffic court, your notice doesn’t say the building. That’s frustrating. It’s the CEDAR building.

All the health care workers should get some form of hazard pay if they are working in #COVID19 units. The #RespiratoryTherapists especially are the ones who operate the ventilators and are dealing with these patients more closely than anyone.
