Spent my week in service to the community.

For Queen’s Park to impose a top-down restructuring of institutions that municipalities rely on to manage flood risk, protect natural heritage, and guide responsible development is deeply troubling.

Conservation Authorities exist for a reason: they are built around watersheds, not for political and economic convenience. Their strength comes from deep local knowledge, strong relationships with municipalities, and decades of scientific and planning expertise.

I am very troubled by the decision of the Ford government to force the amalgamation of Conservation Authorities in Ontario. Kingston City Council spoke out against this, as did the Cataraqui Conservation Authority.

I know this isn't spring. I know there's more snow ahead. I know this is fake spring, but I'm going to enjoy the nicer weather 😁

From +6°C to -11°C in less than 24 hours, it's officially March in Ontario. Who knows what the weather will be like this afternoon?! 🤣

Having kept my pledge to knock on doors every week to keep in touch with the community, even in winter, I have a new level of respect for postal workers.

Bins broken and recycling dumped all over the street. This is exactly why City Council supported my motion last Tuesday to urge Circular Materials and Emterra Group to improve service. Unacceptable! My constituents are doing their part! Cc @tedhsu @fordnation

There's a lot of great Christmas and holiday songs, but I don't want those. I'd like to make a Playlist of the most hokey, cringe-worthy or just bad Christmas songs. Think of the musical equivalent of an ugly Christmas sweater. Any recommendations?

It's one of the highlights of the season serving food at the The Salvation Army Rideau Heights holiday dinner. Great music and great people!

I'm being told Stranger Things season one came out about ten years ago, but that can't be right because the 90s was just ten years ago.

Whoever designed Christmas lights so that a single burnt-out bulb shuts down the whole string clearly deserves to be fired.
