Bake #4 marks the arrival of warm weather ☀️ Lemon and Blueberry tart! Features my first lemon curd attempt AND tart dough, both a major success if I say so myself 🍋

My new project, to bake through ‘Dessert Person’ by Claire Saffitz. First up, Poppy Seed Almond Cake 🫶 First trial, learned my 70’s oven runs hot and the cake is litttttle more browned than I would have wanted, but at least my entire house smells of almond 🍃

No better way to celebrate your 100th birthday than at your first Sceptres game 🥹 Community officer James Rivera met Zera when she was seen shovelling her driveway all by herself. Since their connection, we’ve all learned that Zera’s favourite thing to do is watch hockey – especially women’s hockey! Yesterday, we welcomed Zera to her first-ever Sceptres game 💙

The #OHL is saddened to learn of the passing of Jacob Winterton following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 25. A member of the @FlintFirebirds and @Oshawa_Generals, the league extends its thoughts and condolences to the Winterton family, as well as Jacob’s friends during this difficult time. My life was filmed for a year and a half. It was weird, difficult, and genuinely beautiful to experience. I’m excited for you guys to see it too. This documentary captures so much more than I ever thought the world would see about myself, my creative journey and my family. I am nervous about it because it’s personal and some things I touch on are painful to think about and be reminded of. I remember though that anything scary or hard is usually worth sharing with the world. Maybe it will reach one of you in a time when you need it. Maybe you’ll see some of your own family in mine.
