@Flatline__84 @barstoolsports They do, I believe judges are now unofficially scoring against takedowns/control time that results in no damage. Especially when damage is done by the other fighter within the same round. I’d score more points for fighters who get up from takedowns and do damage

@BrandonZamora52 @barstoolsports Takedowns still count as points, also Chimaev controlled the time. Just saying I don’t think those strikes were enough to be crowned a new champ. He didn’t do much to really showcase that decision imo

@barstoolsports Perfect examples in round 5. Chimaev “lands” a takedown, Strickland gets up, they stay engaged for a bit then separate. No damage, no advancing, neutral.
