You know I don't typically chime in on drama but it’s honestly heartbreaking to see people nitpicking how someone sounds while they’re sharing something as devastating as losing their family.
A lot of VTubers aren’t “putting on a voice” the way people assume. For many of us, that is our natural tone, or it’s so habitual we don’t even think about it. When you stream for hours, day after day it just becomes natural. Many VTubers like myself don't even put on an act.
But it shouldnt even matter! Grief doesn’t come out in one “acceptable” way. Some people cry or make jokes and some sound the same as they always do because that's just how they react. Some people never break character because thats their comfort. Some people put work before their emotions.
Policing someone’s tone and voice in a moment like this isn’t just insensitive, it’s cruel. You’re focusing on performance when a real person just lost so much
Please have some empathy. VTubers are still people behind the avatar.

Kick streamer Nick White now claims he got a new and better job opportunity that "supports his take on VTubers."
Referring to his past opinion on a CDawg & Ironmouse video of them jumping on a trampoline, he made fun of her for being on an iPad and "pretending to have fun," adding that it's "the cringiest thing he's ever seen."
This came after he claimed to have been reported by VTuber fans to his place of employment and subsequently fired. (However, there are now reports coming out that he was laid off from that job back in January 2025, so this may be false.)

Kick Streamer Nick White claims that he lost his programming job after he made fun of Ironmouse for being on an ipad while Cdawg jumped on a trampoline: "He is holding her VTube on an IPad and she is pretending to have fun?" "Bro this has to be the Cringiest thing i ever saw..." Allegedly so many 'Vtuber fans' have contacted his programming job that his company let him go. In a reply to a comment he said "im sorry vtubers..please forgive me"
