Life gets busy, and being an adult puts most of my hobbies on hold. Podcasts are an incredible way to enjoy hobbies, interests, and the great communities around them! Thanks, @onexpunchxdad and @GameOverGreggy, for the hours of podcasts and the genuine enjoyment they bring!

I just spent an hour or so this afternoon loading new pubs into my Kindle and realized that the ILE Kool-Aid must already be in my coffee… Anyway, check out the new TC 3-20.31-9, it's pretty rad.

Monday morning I went for a run and it was in the low 40s. This morning (albeit a bit closer to noon thanks to it being a day off) I went for a run and it is now in the high 80s. The desert is a wild place. Spring was great while it lasted!

A hardcore military training for civilians where you sit in the high bay all day with nothing to do, and then at 18:00 the commander comes in and tell you they want a complete layout of a CONEX no one has opened in 4 years.

Add a quarterly focus on functions such as your Arms Room, Supply Room, and other CSDP elements. Spread them out and focus on one or two a week.

Hard to believe that it’s now been over 8 years since I was out bushwhacking on a Ukrainian BMP-2 alongside some of the most influential officers and NCOs that I’ve ever served with. (I also hope that somehow our platoon Tupac poster is still alive out there!)

Nobody tells you about how old you will feel in the Army when leaders you knew as company/troop commanders are now coming up as CSL battalion/squadron commanders. Couldn’t be happier for them and their future formations but damn I feel old!

Passed the oral exam. Graduating Cavalry Leaders Course. Tough. Long hours. Most demanding course I’ve had in the Army and most studying I’ve done since French 2501 in college. The course required me to dig into doctrine like I was moving HAZMAT from rail yard to the port

Coming into work on a Monday and opening your outlook inbox when your higher headquarters is three time zones ahead of you.

It’s the last weekend before an extended rotation. There aren’t any new shows out yet that are inspiring a healthy binge session. Time to rewatch the holy trinity of 90s action movies. Three Musketeers, you’re up first!
