This is the exact plot of several science fiction books. In my favorite, "The Voyage that Lasted 600 Years" from 1940(!), they travel in a generation ship which, as always happens in novels, degenerates into a violent repressive dystopia. When they arrive the humans, who invented hyperdrive a few years after the generation ship left, have therapists ready and a thriving colony. There’s also the related concept of Joe Haldeman’s Forever War, in which the soldiers use relativistic travel to fight the alien foe, so they never get older while the universe does. After thousands of years of this (in which they've only aged a few decades), they find that both the human and the alien enemy have evolved into a gestalt telepathic overmind and have joined together. So the overmind, which is benign, sends the unevolved soldiers to a paradise planet to live out their days.

@VoterIndy Give power a reason to exist, and it will find a reason to use itself. Courts tend to rationalize its expansion before asking if it serves the citizen.

Why does it seem like +90% of all precedent is cited to show where rights can be violated now because they had been violated sometime in the past?

@noodlebrett @DocStrangelove2 It is a byproduct of the system that the citizen finds Justice when they go to court. The true purpose of court is to provide cover for controlling dissent and resistance for any that oppose the system.

Judges sit on a pedestal that they 100% shouldn't. The average American should be able to stand up in a courtroom and tell a judge that their ruling is bullshit. There also needs to be a system in place to petition a review of a judge that looks at past rulings to see if they're fit to be ruling on cases.

@drakesmith__ I eat a protein/energy bar at holes 6 and 12. I carry two 64oz jugs with 2 packets of sugar free hydration packs that I intentionally chug. I played Texas summer middle of the day golf with no drops in energy. Probably earned me 3 strokes in concentration ability.

Your emotions on the golf course are a direct reflection on how you are fueled an hydrated. Front 9 is great. Back 9. "I hate this course". "What the ......" Start spraying it and making mistakes. You start saying things, thinking things and acting in ways you weren't earlier in the round. The longer I coach people the more I believe you just need to fuel like an athlete. You would never do a 4 hour endurance event fasted but people will play golf this way and expect to performe. I get it if you back 9 falls apart because of drinking this post is not for you. You are either having fun or have a drinking problem which nutrition won't fix. I am talking to the people that take it seriously and want to get better.

Abraham Lincoln is a hero of mine, and he had the very best take on racial relations. When he was told that the blacks' dark skin meant they were meant to be slaves (literally an argument of the time), he said, "So if you can find a man whiter than you, he can make you his slave." He also got told that blacks weren't as smart as whites, so he said, "So if you can find a man smarter than you, he can make you his slave." Even if it was true that blacks, on the average, aren't as intelligent or are likelier to be a criminal than a white, this is irrelevant with respect to THIS black person right now in frontt of me. Because I know for an absolute fact that there are blacks who are smarter than me, more honest than me, and more honorable than me. Therefore I need to take every man at what HE is, rather than grouping him into a category. Group politics is destroying our nation. It's poison on both left and right. A black man who shares my ideals is a friend and a brother. A white man who spits on my ideals is my opponent. My church literally teaches that all men are my brothers, and all women my sisters. I cannot shut them out.

This morning I rented a reefer truck to haul pallets of 2S beef from Santo to Dallas. I’m no professional truck driver—especially not in pouring rain—but I was stunned by how many cars pulled out directly in front of me or cut me off without a second thought. It’s one thing to see it happen; it’s another to be behind the wheel of a massive truck feeling the weight and momentum as you try to maintain a safe distance. Driving a big rig takes serious patience and constant focus, and today gave me a whole new respect for the professionals who do it every day and somehow keep their cool. 2SRanch.com

@NuLLnVoiD4prez @SallyMayweather @PeteHegseth @GarrigleKen @POTUS Sure sure. You're good with the US going to war every few years bombing schools on accident. I could give you the links to arguments showing the original interpretation doesn't allow for a war powers act, you won't care. Bombing brown people makes your heart sing.

@Krissa_Kray_ Some people value making a little more money over owning your house outright.

Can someone explain like I’m 5 why you shouldn’t pay off your home early if the rate is low? I have no idea why continuing to owe on something you can own outright is the “right strategy” - it’s interest you don’t have to pay in the long run… no matter how low the rate? Right?
The Money Cruncher, CPA@money_cruncher

My coworker has a 1.99% mortgage. That is something you should NEVER pay off early. Inflation is at least 3%/yr. Why would anyone pay that off aggressively? It makes absolutely 0 sense.

Don't listen to those telling you to "Club Up" when hitting approach shots into greens Before you do that, you need to consider a few things... 1. Is being a little short REALLY that bad on that particular hole? If you do miss hit your shot, is there any trouble short? Or is it just a "simple" up & down? 2. Where's the flag? If it's on the front or middle of the green, then sure, club up, if it's on the back, it's better to be short of the flag which leaves you middle of the green... don't club up 3. If you do club up & flush it, what's long? Because that's potentially where you'll end up. Make sure there is nothing long of the green which could make your chip shot difficult You need to take into consideration these possibilities before just "clubbing up"

@Ace_Archist Depends on whether you know they are before helping. If not, they are responsible for their actions, not you. However, helping people get elected to government is evil because government is coercive and overrides individual consent. Government by definition is never good.

Is there no moral problem with assisting an evil person to a position of power where they will commit evil? Again, even if it’s not a rights violation it seems that there is some moral issue to doing so.
The Chad@TheChadFactor

@Ace_Archist Agree with Tucker a little bit but. Trump falling is trump fault not Tucker or millions of Americans who voted for him. I hate Trump but I’m not regretting my vote for him. Because Ross is free, regulations on psychedelics is being passed and border security looks decent
