Windsor and Hamilton now COVID-19 hotpots. Case numbers high, and rate of growth high is too. YES: We can sustain higher case counts, but exponential case growth WILL lead to exponential growth in hospitalization.

@TinaYazdani @courtneyjelder Absolutely horrific. Chilcare aged children don’t mask and educators help with toileting, etc. Many don’t have sick days, and there is no supply staff to call in. They need to be a priority.

Rapid rise in COVID cases among children at Ontario’s daycares: 537 in the last 14 days, that’s nearly a quarter of total cases reported since the start of the pandemic. As of next wk, only educators working w/ *school-aged* children are eligible for vaccines in hotspots. Story:

@Billius27 My mom is 60, working in a childcare centre with unmasked kids in a hot spot. She and her colleagues (mostly 55 plus) keep waiting.

NICE. Simcoe-Muskoka has officially opened up vaccines to non-frontline health care workers who work remotely and don’t require PPE. BEFORE those in their 60’s. BEFORE educators. Absolutely disgusting. @SMDhealthunit

I didn't realize how much I needed to see this. It's been a long time since I've been new to a team & the learning curve feels steeper now that I have full time mom duties on top of learning new material for my job. I know I'm not alone, but this somehow makes me feel seen.
