Why do I never see the vtuber tournament events when they first announce it. I only see them when they've got full teams already. I hate it here.

This post reached a lot more people that I thought it would've and I just want to say a couple more things.
There are a few people excusing and writing this behavior off as "just being apart of the industry", but that is what upsets me most, because I really wish it wasn't that way 🥲 It sucks that we act like it's normal and just apart of life, because it's awful. I could never imagine treating someone that way, basically dehumanizing them and seeing them as nothing but a way to grow, and for people to excuse it makes it become even more normalized :(
I also wear my heart on my sleeve and choose to see the good in everyone, I try not to entirely close myself off even after people have hurt me in the past because there are still good people out there. Is that naïve and do I open myself up to being hurt more often? Sure, but I really believe in being friendly in this space instead of being cynical and thinking everyone might be a terrible person in disguise.
Blaming me or other people for welcoming everyone with open arms as if it's our fault we get used and basically saying we need to get better at choosing who to befriend is kinda rude ngl TT No one has hindsight like that, and to go through life thinking that everyone is out to hurt you and that you shouldn't be kind to others because of that, is a horrible way to live
Also that's why I'm so upset after witnessing this time and time again, kindhearted people who make and build up this space are stepped all over...and it's the fact that it works for the people who are using others.. I know calling it out isn't going to fix the problem but I think it is more than acceptable as someone who has been taken advantage of, and seen others taken advantage of many times in the past, to express my frustration about the whole situation :/ I am not trying to be holier than thou, I just genuinely believe in spreading kindness, uplifting others and treating everyone with respect

Can I be honest?? It is really demoralizing and upsetting how many vultures there seems to be in the vtubing sphere TT I've tried to build myself from the ground up as someone with no connections as I'm antisocial and struggle to make friends, so everything that I've done, I have done on my own. So it really hurts me when so many people have come and gone during that time, trying to latch on to me and my community ONLY to try to grow themselves. I empathize with the struggle as a small streamer but sometimes, it's just so obvious when I'm being used and it really is upsetting. I try my best to support and uplift others unconditionally, so bad actors take advantage of that kindness. It's also just weird to me, I've never been a big vtuber myself, I've always been someone very small and in my own corner of the internet, but there are still people who try to gain something from me,, but once they grow past me, they instantly break mutuals with me.. I just don't understand it :( I've had quite a few vtuber moots throughout the years, who instantly unfollowed me and a bunch of other smaller creators as soon as they hit partner. It's actually so crazy TwT It's just been an odd situation witnessing all this stuff firsthand. When I was streaming, there were always people in my dms asking to collab and wanting to be besties, but now that I'm on hiatus from streaming, all those same people are gone. But on the other side of the same coin, being active on twitter instead of streaming, vtubers follow me on here and if I don't follow them back within a day, they instantly unfollow me. I genuinely don't get it... Please stop trying to use other creators to build yourself and your numbers up,, people do notice and it really isn't cool. I cannot emphasize this enough, we are all equals, not stepping stones.
