Got on the 1805 at Darlington, ticket checked, 5 minutes later the ticket inspector asked me to follow him, as a thank you to the veterans I was to be upgraded to first class free of charge, feel so humbled.Also a coffee hot bacon roll, packet of crisps and a bottle of water.
