The Social Network sequel film opens with Zuck giving a rousing speech to FB employees.
Zuck: We need to win the JavaScript framework wars! What is this multidirectional binding garbage. Drop the bidirection - just unidirectional. It’s cleaner.
Engineer: But.. but it’s never been done before! And think of the additional payload size on the client!
Zuck: I don’t care if you have to rerender every time component state changes. Just make it happen! And as for payload size, figure out a way to make it render on the server.
*engineer takes a sip of his water*
Zuck: That’s it. We’ll call it rehydration
Engineer: but how will the Angular fans... react?

The latest @YouTube copyright claim I have is *ONCE AGAIN* an entity claiming copyright on content they do not have exclusive rights to: SpaceX's Mission To Mars animation.
And the kicker is there's no way to specify that the 'claimant' does not have any valid claim. So people who can't dispute this automatically lose.

Government procurement of software systems has a terribly high failure rate, and this isn't just the US government it's seen around the world. It's common to see the lowest bid winning, installation starting and then the backend customization required is massively greater than originally estimated, so costs and timelines explode.
And then there's the problem that the coders with talent want to be at a startup where they can get things done rather than a government job where things take too long.

The Federal government computers & software are in such bad shape that they often cannot verify that payments are not fraud, waste or abuse!
That’s why the government can’t pass basic audits. They often LITERALLY don’t know where your tax dollars went. It’s insane.
My preferred title in the new administration is Volunteer IT Consultant. Need to fix the IT infrastructure in order to make government work. This is a grind & hardly glorious, but we can’t make government efficient & fix the deficit if the computers don’t work.
