When I was 12 years old I’d wake up on a Saturday morning, watch some cartoons and pro wrestling, go outside and throw a rubber ball off the side of the house, get the guys in the neighborhood together for Wiffle Ball, go inside for Atari and snacks, ride my bike to Dairy Queen for a Mr. Misty, listen to Casey Kasem, flip on ESPN and watch sports with no social commentary, flip it over to MTV, which showed actual music videos, go back outside for more Wiffle Ball, and then think “Hey, it’s almost 3 pm.” Living my best life and had no fucking idea how good I had it.

Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles yesterday & took it like a G. @KirkCousins8 attempted to scramble after the injury, hopped to the sideline, & cheered his team from the cart. It was a Kobe Bryant like moment. Reminiscent of the legend hitting two free throws after suffering the same injury. That was legendary. Unfortunately, much like the @lakers the @vikings will have a tough time replacing their leader. What Kirk has become for this team goes above X’s & O’s. He was playing at a super star level even without Justin Jefferson, showing uncommon toughness, & leading a locker room of men back from an 0-3 start. All respect to Cousins, he’d become “Everything” for the Vikings.
