Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, a date chosen to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp, by the Soviet Army in 1945. This year we commemorate the 80th anniversary of its liberation.

Hillhead Primary School and Early Years Centre Closure Hillhead Primary School and Early Years Centre will be closed on Monday 27 January as there has been significant storm damage to the roof. At present the plan is to reopen on Tuesday 28 January.

RED WEATHER WARNING ISSUED FOR EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE - STORM EOWYN The Met Office has issued a Red Weather Warning for dangerous winds from 10am-5pm on Friday 24 January. As a result, the Council has taken the decision to close all schools and Early Years Centres on Friday.
