@sarahlugor I did lasik in 2000. Before, w/o glasses I couldn’t see my feet in the shower or the face of my friend sitting across the table from me. I can’t wear contacts because of the scars & yes, eyes still change. But, lenses thinner, & I can see my feet and faces without my glasses. WIN

it’s too many doctors with glasses for me to want to do it.

Question of the Day: Authors who write series, do you plan the whole series at once, or do you go one book at a time? I’m the latter option.

@wendyparciak As a writer, I want that first page to make my readers go. “Oooo, I want to read this!” As a reader, I will give it about halfway through the first chapter, and if I don’t care about the characters by then, I’m done.

Asking as a writer: When do you put a book down because it's not engaging you? First page? First chapter? Halfway? There's a lot of pressure to get that first paragraph & first page perfect, but I'll read a quarter of the way before giving up. #WritingCommunity #writing

@drslayton I have many Lakeside memories myself. Always a twinge of melancholy when I drive by.

Made my annual sojourn to Lakeside today. The light was golden and the water reflected the park beautifully. There was fresh paint on many of the ride cars but the overall beauty remains marred by decay, lending it an air of magic tinged with sadness.
