The entire "new cities" thing is stupid.
99% of existing cities are currently at oddly low density, ill used, and would be better if radically densified similar to Paris.
Doing this to *current urban footprints* could house an almost infinite number of people.

Why is urbanism Twitter talking about Central California as “most wasted land in America” nah bro. If you want to talk “wasted potential” with perfect weather beautiful scenery. Let me introduce you to wonderful East Oakland! & guess what?!?! It’s already walkable, transit oriented, and full of historical mixed use buildings that are illegal to build in most cities!! But you won’t move there or even talk about redeveloping that? Why ?
