Detroit ace Tarik Skubal will undergo surgery to remove loose bodies in his left elbow. Such procedures typically sideline players for 2-3 months. Skubal should return before season's end, but a tough blow for the impending free agent and two-time reigning AL Cy Young winner.

People act like the B1G has not performed well in March. They have had 7 different programs reach the national title game since 2000. I don’t think any other conference has more than 4. They just haven’t had the “best” team in college basketball. Which is a hard thing to do.

Think the biggest reason the big Ten has struggled to compete for & win a natty in recent years is the attrition of the parity and style in the league. They beat each other up so much in B1G style & get to March & almost *forget* how to play other styles. Also normally not as good as this michigan team has been tbf but this is a great test for them specifically being the level they have been at.
