It’s devastating that Girlguiding has announced plans to exclude existing trans girl guides from September. The Supreme Court ruling is being weaponised to bully previously inclusive organisations into abandoning members of their own community. The government must ensure that the statutory guidance enables organisations to be inclusive and protects them from expensive anti-trans lawfare.

@nyaraVT Doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. There are more people claiming to be trans in the modern day. This ruling will stop it at source.

@zanyflea @DrRitaDed Doesn't matter what's easier. It's about what's fair. They aren't getting their own category, there's enough events to squeeze into the schedule as it is, without some trans people looking for easy golds.

@BrettBP1 @DrRitaDed idk i feel like it would be better to not have them compete against anyone other then trans athletes. I feel like most would revert to their original genders rather then get a gold competing against no one. Just give them a gold and say you were the only one in this category.

@zanyflea @DrRitaDed They don't change at all. They are still women so they compete in the women's category. The system works, it's been working for years. Giving trans competitors an easy gold is exactly what they want. That's why this Olympic ruling is justice.

@BrettBP1 @DrRitaDed sure i get that but then there are women who change to men. Idk just seems easier to give them a gold in a category they are in by themselves ( most likely) and they can be happy and we can all just ignore it.
