@adcock_brett Packaging systems are going to be soon over engineered

@BrettDelwiche I picture a low waged worker who was like, how can I stretch this out to make it my entire shift. And they did!

This man ordered 165 pool noodles from Walmart. When they arrived through FedEx, there was a little surprise. They had been individually boxed.
You just know that Walmart employee is paid by the hour. 😆😆
And the FedEx driver got to unload an entire truck in one place, and they weren’t heavy.

@paulsaladinomd Packaging materials matter a lot, if you chose to get peanut butter get it in a glass jar
English

@oasishealthapp Finally getting into some packaging related work! Packaging plays a huge role in the transfer of potential toxins to our food stream
English

@flightBennett Ya most brands don't even know they are losing out on crazy profit just by fixing it
English

@BrettDelwiche Yeah that makes sense. Shipping air is basically paying for nothing 😅
I guess many brands don’t even realize it.
English

@mattvanswol If your package system is accidently dropped from that high the returns rates will sky rocket, cool concept tho!

I can confirm that Walmart is now using drones to deliver items directly to front yards here in North Carolina.
Currently they are only available with certain Walmart locations and you need to live within 6-8 miles a store that offers drone delivery.
The order has to be 2.1 lbs or less.
Pretty wild stuff...

@WallStreetApes The reason is the packaging helps drive the value of the product. Take water as an example, water is free and packaging makes it valuable. This is no different. If you want the best quality get vacuum sealed as the package weighs much less
English

@oasishealthapp The problem right now is just the price that it costs too much, someday PS will not make economic sense compared to eco alternatives

Polystyrene takes 500 years to break down.
We bury 1,300+ tons of it in US landfills daily. <2% gets recycled.
It leaches into your food. The hotter and fattier, the worse it gets. 1 microwaved container releases over 100,000 microplastic particles.
Styrene is a neurotoxin and probable carcinogen.
It was found in 100% of human fat samples across all 48 states in the 80s, and is still one of the most common plastics detected in human blood.
But we can literally grow the replacement using mushroom mycelium

@flightBennett Straight up man, if there is excess air in shipping the cost goes back to the consumer.
English

@BrettDelwiche Most people don't even realize that they pay more for the cardboard box and the air inside than for shipping
English

@flightBennett Usually smaller direct to consumer companies, they typically run oversized packaging
English

@BrettDelwiche Honestly smart timing with costs going up. What kind of businesses are you usually helping?
English

@DramaAlert Maybe packaging damage rates will fall because of this.

USPS plans to add an 8% surcharge on packages.
That means higher last-mile costs, tighter margins, and more pressure on every shipment going out the door.
When shipping gets more expensive, packaging matters even more:
• Reduce dimensional weight
• Improve pack-out efficiency
• Lower damage rates
• Cut unnecessary material costs
Packaging is no longer just a box. It’s a cost-control strategy.
I help businesses rethink packaging so they can ship smarter and protect margins.

Chain reaction has started.
US Postal Service adding extra on packages because fuel got expensive.
This isn’t about filling your tank today, it’s about what gets expensive next.
If everything is going up,
what are you holding that goes up with it?
$BTC is holding well so far! 💪
