What a huge difference it makes when a teacher authentically teaches for success. The kids just fly.

If we just talk about mindset and don't practice it in context it will have minimal effect

There seems to be some great overlaps between the work we have been doing with SOLE ,Learning Brain,Data Wise and the ideas presented by Pooja Argawal. It should be an interesting thought process.

Great professional learning yesterday at our Data Wise session with our Harvard trained instructors . Now the game plan will be to mesh those ideas with the key ideas from the "Learning Brain " course at Boston Uni. Really clear and really focussed seems to be a common thread.

Some really challenging concepts in the content today. The reinforcement points were around linking in to prior knowledge,to help integrate new ideas into existing schema. Very keen to try interleaving on a broader scale in curriculum design.

The main points I got out of the Learning Brain was that mindset was most observable by tracking student explanations after challenging activities. The positive power of group problem-solving was very very evident
