Someone please explain to me why the Brewers just did this, because they just downgraded from a solid depth option to an older prospect with bad stuff and poor results overall. Head scratcher unless I’m missing something

The Brewers are making a trade, per source: Getting RHP Jake Woodford from the Rays for Minor League righty K.C. Hunt. Woodford was a non-roster invitee to Rays camp. More to come shortly.

@wiguy94 agreed, I think best case scenario he lights the upper minors on fire, they bring him up in August, and do the Samuel Basallo thing and sign an extenion the first week after he debuts, and then is still PPI eligible for 2027. 🙏
