David Lammy isn't wrong here on Brexit- “Farage said it would bring down immigration, it hasn’t it’s got worse, Farage said we would be better off, we’re much much poorer, everyone across the country realises that, there were promises made and we should hold their feet to the fire”

@TedUrchin The EU way. Keep having referendums until they get the results they want. Maybe more people want to rejoin today, but perhaps five years later they won't. Then what - Another referendum?

@MeidasClips They can cut deals as much as they want but they won't get oil and goods in and out of Iranian ports. The US is not blocking shipping through the strait, the Iranians are doing that. If the world wants to prop up the radical Islamic anti-western oppressive dictatorship so be it.

Donald Trump's failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is leading foreign leaders to cut bilateral deals with Iran. China, Japan, and Pakistan -- with several European countries soon to follow. While Donald Trump continues to look weak, Iran is spiking the football.

@ajlamesa Yea, they need the money. It is not for the great love they have in their hearts for the British people. The EU are a mercenary bunch and they are in desperate need for cash.

Brexiteers don't want to hear it, but the EU would enthusiastically welcome the UK back and move mountains to make it happen.

@jude5456 I'm not a great fan of Farage but this hysteria about him being 'Fascist' is ridiculous. Farage is a Libertarian and always has been. Yeah, he's a bit dodgy round the edges but then I don't think the rest of our political establishment has anything to crow about either..

🟥 I seldom agree with John Bolton, but on this point he is correct. ✅ 🔳 “He (Trump) believes that U.S. state-to-state relations with a country like China are reflected entirely in the PERSONAL relationships between the two leaders. ... But neither Xi Jinping nor Vladimir Putin think that Donald Trump is their friend - I think they see him as an easy mark, actually.”

@OlenaRohoza He won't need to go 9,000 miles; The US has a permanent naval presence in the Pacific and has just signed a major Defense partnership with Indonesia which has a coastline on the Malacca Strait which 80% of China's shipping goes through.

TAIWAN ABANDONED… Just yesterday I wrote that Donald Trump is confidently holding first place in the world for betraying everyone — and the orange monkey didn’t disappoint. Ukraine was the first U.S. ally Trump abandoned, but it wasn’t the last. He is throwing America’s allies under the bus all over the world. After his visit to China, Trump made several statements that cast doubt on America’s willingness to defend Taiwan. And unlike Ukraine, the United States even has a special law obligating it to help protect Taiwan. But Trump doesn’t give a damn about laws if there’s another dictator he can hug. “You know, for us to fight, we’d have to cross nine and a half thousand miles. I’m not looking to do that,” Trump said regarding possible U.S. involvement in a China–Taiwan war. And here Trump is being dishonest. Because when it comes to defending U.S. interests, what matters isn’t miles — it’s guts. And the businessman from Mar-a-Lago has none. No distance will change that.

@vigilpamela1 @FurkanGozukara Well, that's good to hear. I won't need to say prayers for you then.. Seriously though; It is true and where we both would agree, the division of the Middle East after the 1st World War is the root cause of all this trouble and the establishment of Israel but we are where we are..

Terrifying revelation on CNN. Trump casually dismissed warnings about the catastrophic Iran war by telling Tucker Carlson "it's going to be okay because it always is." The President is an arrogant megalomaniac completely detached from the reality of this disaster.

@_Postive_Vibes You can because the DOJ is part of the exectutive. It is the Grand Jury who decides if there is enough cause to prosecut not the DOJ. In any case seeing as the left practiced lawfare on Trump by illegal means trying to unseat a duly elected President they should be prosecuted.

OBAMA: "The White House shouldn't be able to direct the AG to go around prosecuting whoever the president wants prosecuted. You can't have a situation where whoever is in charge of the government starts using that to go after their political enemies or reward their friends."

As the Americans leave Beijing, the reality of who the real global power now is, has become clearer than ever. Washington needs to get used to the new global reality rising in the East, and plan its strategy accordingly.

Tomorrow, we should stand WITH the government, WITH the Metropolitan Police, AGAINST the fascist drunks and hooligans who will urinate their way from Euston to Whitehall in support of an insurrection fantasy - a moment of peril for our democracy...

I’m struck by how often Trump referred to Xi as his “friend” and a “great leader.” Xi Jinping, chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, is a dictator. He also offered no such reciprocal praise for Trump. That asymmetry makes Trump appear in a visibly weaker position.

@RobMeringolo @masonisonx @McFaul Trump knows exactly what he is doing. He has to big up Xi in public in front of his own people to give Xi kudos. Then Xi will give Trump what he wants. Xi is on shaky ground at home. Now he has an invite back to Washington his enemies in the CCP will have to back off.
