The Action-Means-Purpose (AMP) Model can be used to understand/detect human trafficking. A perpetrator takes an Action, → uses a Means of force, fraud or coercion for the → Purpose of compelling the victim to provide commercial sex acts or labor or services.

According to the Trafficking In Persons Report, the # of boys who have been identified as human trafficking survivors grew by over five times between 2004 & 2020. The false perception that only girls are trafficked leads to inadequate identification & protection of boys & men.
