I had the privilege of working in the @CarolynBertozzi lab in college - in addition to the incredible research, she is a phenomenal lecturer and teacher, one of the best I’ve had. She’s truly an inspiration and rockstar. Congratulations!!!

Sharing the annual Comp Report we've been working on w/ >40k surveys. My favorite figures include pg 5 showing salary adjusted by COL and pg 14 showing impact of COVID on physician retirement w/ claims data. Lots to unpack!

@DrJohnBarbieri @RoxanaDaneshjou @GinaAlvaJones The USNWR rankings don’t incorporate match rate. However, when I was interviewing, all med schools advertised their match rate so it would suggest a vested interest in keeping it high

@RoxanaDaneshjou @GinaAlvaJones Do medical schools rankings take into account match rate? I wonder if some schools are advising this way to applicants who might have a high, but not certain, chance of marching in an effort to make their match rate statistics better.

I firmly believe that there are a lot of places that are gatekeeping excellent students from dermatology. This is not okay. I’m so glad you didn’t listen to those advisors @GinaAlvaJones, but would also like to see the academic dermatology community push for change.
Gina Alvarado Jones, MD, MS@GinaJonesMD

Last yr I was advised to dual apply because dermatology would be a “reach” for me. I decided to stick with my plan and only applied to dermatology targeting programs that fit my passions. I did not exclude programs based on rank or prestige. Just fit. 1/3

@JAADjournals Interesting! I would've liked to see pictures, and whether certain formulations/combinations of BPO were more or less likely to stain

Much more to read in the full article. And if you disagree with these findings, make your voice heard here in Workplace Navigator: doximity.com/careers/workpl…. Other job-seekers have websites to get inside looks; physicians should as well!

5. Philadephia was one of the highest rated large cities in our analyses! And a special shoutout to HUP @PennMedicine for being 1 of only 4 hospitals to received 100% positive reviews!

Does someone sell our emails to predatory journals? Is it conferences? Other journals? Or do they go scrape emails from "corresponding authors"? I really want to know.
