I'm very excited to announce that Jorge Gil and I will be doing weekly livestreams on the Classical Theology YouTube channel on Wednesdays at 8:45pm ET starting tomorrow, March 18. Our first livestream will be about the nature of classical theology and what the channel is all about. Hope to see you there! The link to the channel is in the comments.

@arealmermaidman Oh ok. I understand that. He has a book on pantheism that I’m sure goes into more depth. Apologetics in the New Age: A Christian Critique of Pantheism

@arealmermaidman Oh thanks! Yeah we'll be doing that channel as well. The paranormal is a great way to introduce people to Christianity.

@arealmermaidman That's tough. I have the Archeological Study Bible for that kinda stuff. The NET Bible is very good for textual notes. That's probably my favorite honestly as I'm more concered with the text. The translation is more functionally equivalent but the notes are great.

@arealmermaidman @BrianHuffling If you want big-picture history, the ESV Archaeology Study Bible has timelines and site notes on every page. For a quicker read, the NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible is super digestible.

@arealmermaidman That's so cool! My friend and I are about to start doing a live stream a week...and I'll still be doing recordings too. Trying to get more out there.

@arealmermaidman That's an interesting topic. I have one I'm going to do on Buddhism. I should probably do one on Hinduism as well at some point.

@israelnitta I go with the Aristotelian notion that it's the formal cause of the human. It's the immaterial part that allows for immaterial operations, like knowledge.

I saw a video today of someone saying that God doesn't or can't violate our libertarian free will. I think such a view is more deistic than theistic. We do not exist without God giving us our existence, every moment. We are not autonomous without God. Further, such a view is weak on God's sovereignty. Our free will is not disconnected from God's causality.

Dan Crenshaw is on the intelligence committee and says that he has seen the classified #UFO files and they are just as disappointing as the public ones. That's what I have figured. In my research, many have said that the #UAP accounts are basically known publicly. What are classified are methods of data collecting and stuff like that.

@arealmermaidman No I don't think Thomism is necessarily a gateway drug to Catholicism. Not if one is Thomistic in the way I am. If one accepts his broader ideas, that are inherently more Catholic, then one could be more easily converted that way.
