I was lucky enough to play Kevin’s after wedding party with Shad Raq. All of Phish was there of course and I will never forget Trey coming up to me and saying “Hey, I am Trey Anastasio of Phish.” I promptly said “I know who you are, the best in the business.”  Wow, this whole talk about 1.0 and that I am a nobody by some silly kids has rattled some memories out of me from those times back in Burlington when I was running Silvermine (first head shop in that town across from the park where tents filled it with people waiting for the next tour. I was the very first person to sell glass in Burlington legally. Me and Jess were pretty much under the presumption…why not. When Phish played at the Flynn we were opened (On the other side of the wall to the store was the Flynn). Cinnamon Girl absolutely shook the place to its foundations. Hmmm…more 1.0 stories to come for those who actually care about music history and couldn’t attend because they were very possibly not born yet. Don’t worry, I missed the ‘80s dead and give proper respect to those who made it to those shows. In fact, I try to play Grateful Dead music with them as much as possible. I got commonly ribbed for not being there also but I am Central NY
