New Govt failed second test on gender equality by not increasing no. of women Ministers of State. Serious questions for Govt to answer on rationale of continuing to exclude women’s voices,expertise & lived experience from Govt decision-making levels. womenforelection.ie/no-gender-bala…

So Ireland joins Samoa, Indonesia & DRC in the club of countries where only 20% of Cabinet members are women (UNwomen.org). Meanwhile, our neighbours in Finland, Belgium, Portugal, Norway, Iceland, Netherlands & Spain, all have gender balanced Cabinets (at least 50%).
