@BrianStats1 I have an interesting stat on this Faze ROC overload. I get why they ended it, but it still feels unfair. The first half was just under 6 minutes without OT, while the second was stopped around 4:30 at 7-7. That’s a small time gap, not some 5-10 minute advantage. ROC started hot and got screwed

Simp & aBeZy are the only two players in COD history to win *multiple* championships in 3 different Treyarch games (2 in BO4, 4 in CW, 2 in BO6). Simp has an opportunity this weekend to stand alone as the only player in COD history to win 2+ championships in 4 separate Treyarch titles.

@SplashyySZN Yes I do count those events. And you’re right they didn’t make the finals in either. They did however go to back to back finals in Major 1 and 2 that season. Also went back to back in MWIII Major 1 and 2

@BrianStats1 Fair enough. Curious if you would count the kickoff classic and pro-am in vanguard as tournaments they didn’t make the finals for (no opinion either way)

Kind of not getting talked about enough that OpTic Texas are going into Major 3 with the potential to appear in their 5th Grand Finals in a row. Only 4 other teams in COD history have competed in 5 consecutive finals on LAN. Fariko ‘13: Mirx, Killa, Parasite, Karma CoL ‘13: Crimsix, Aches, Teepee, Clayster CoL ‘14: Crimsix, Aches, Teepee, Karma OpTic ‘15: Crimsix, Scump, FormaL, Karma Hasn’t been done in 11 years.

No different teams obviously, but the same org. For example I listed out the 2 separate complexity squads in this stat. I know in the NFL/NBA you just consider the year and the franchise when it comes to team stat (for example the 2018 Warriors, 2025 Jets etc.). But COD is different with only 4 players, which is why I’ll sometimes use the term “as a core four” to emphasize that I’m talking about a specific team and not the organization

@BrianStats1 @SplashyySZN Do you view CW-VG Faze, MWII Faze and MWIII-BO6 Faze as seperate teams? The community often groups them together but that’s never made sense to me

I’d need to double check but other teams would include: TK BO2/Ghosts (Sharp, Neslo, Goonjar, Theory) EnVy Ghosts (Merk, Nameless, JKap, FormaL Denial Ghosts (ZooMaa, Replays, Saints, StuDyy) FaZe AW (Slasher, Enable, ZooMaa, Huke) FaZe AW (Clayster, ZooMaa, Enable, Attach) OpTic AW (Scump, Crim, FormaL, Enable) As I’m typing this it’s actually too many to write out so I’ll give the team names… EnVy BO2 (3 in a row actually) OpTic Ghosts Rise BO3 EnVy IW TK WW2 Rise WW2 LG WW2 100T BO4 EUnited BO4 GenG BO4 Mutineers MW19 Empire MW19 FaZe MW19 Empire MW19-CW Ultra CW-VG Thieves VG OpTic MWII Subliners MWII OpTic MWIII Thieves BO6 Surge BO6 Need to double check this list it was mostly off the head while confirming at the same time but I don’t have them all officially tracked

So this was AT LEAST 5, other teams got higher but I didn’t want that to overshadow the premise of the post. Aches/Teepee/Crim/Clay appeared in 8 in a row winning 7. Scump/Crim/Karma/FormaL appeared in 7 in a row winning 4 Aches/Teepee/Crim/Karma appeared in 5 in a row winning 4 Karma/Parasite/Killa/Mirx appeared in 5 in a row winning 4 Keep in mind this is just grabbing streaks of core-fours. Aches/Teepee/Crimsix as a trio appeared in a record 13 finals in a row across Clay and Karma’s runs

@SplashyySZN Right that would be another reason, it wasn’t the same core 4/5. Because I certainly do count all those tournaments for FaZe, just didn’t qualify for the list above

@BrianStats1 Fairs, thought you could’ve also left them off since they had a roster change (even though the core three were still together)

@Sonei Most recently ATL FaZe from EWC 2024 - Major 2 2025 had 3 in a row. EnVy BO3 had 3 straight. FaZe back in AW had 4 straight. Besides that, 2 has been the most frequent occurrence by far

@SplashyySZN I excluded ATL FaZe from the post above since it wasn’t on LAN, but technically they had 6 finals appearances in a row: Toronto Home Series Champs 2020 Major 1-4 2021 But 5/6 of these were online
