Am I crazy for thinking baseball batting averages were higher in my youth? Looking at the all-star line-ups for tonight. Only two hitters over .300 combined for both starting line-ups.

@uniformcritic That was also the last year Ruth was really Babe Ruth. He was already on the decline, but it really started to go downhill in '34, and then the bottom fell out in '35. The Yanks knew he was done after '34.

My priority list to get players in ASG...Players making debut, every team represented on the field, all the home team players getting in, anyone who has been in previous ASG but didn't get in. Connie Mack and Joe McCarthy didn't use many substitutes when ASG managing. #Stockpile
