There are two major critiques: 1. An IP forcefully changing when it's playerbase didn't ask for it (being permissive and accepting of any progressive change doesn't mean you asked for this). 2. Freya looks worse here than previous iterations of previous installments, and the mocap is purposely uglified, aged, and intentionally removed of feminine traits. This is all with intent and the woman that is the head of the developer team purposely intended to make these androgenous changes. No amount of idiotic arguments of "You just want a dishwasher character" or "You just want a sex object" will deter from the actual criticism. Having Deborah Ann Woll done this dirty and disrespectfully should've been the hint you needed to understand something was off without thinking it's just the misogynist gamers at fault.

Its probably just a higher definition model, and she looks a bit more matronly now imo, which fits with Kratos becoming more like Kratos-but-dad.

@allsofakehappy @SwiiLive does mocap also capture features of your face or something? i assume so since even death stranding's actors look like themselves irl, but even if it is a thing of mocap, the actor looks less like herself in the new game than she did in the old one, atleast it feels like it to me

@BribofLapis @SwiiLive Probably just a case of mocap honestly. Obviously she's aged a bit in real life in the years but to capture the emotion on her face the way they have historically done in the series they wouldn't reuse an old model, they'd do it from scratch as she looks now.

Women too for endurance the current character would be constantly gasping for air with that small shape. If she's fighter enough to fight gods she wont be scrawny.

And people saying she looks the same without make up on are really just insulting the actress. Theres no reason to not make her look her best for a game that will exist for pretty much forever.

Fuck that I watched the trailer The game had a potential but they ruined it with the STUPID dialogue and cringy ass characters. Cube: "Simple" WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN SIMPLE?!
