For the 20th anniversary of HL2, I tried to make new art in the same style as my old art. That meant going back to old methods and deliberately ignoring all the stuff I've learned in the last 20 years. It was a really fun excersize.

now that the adrenaline has worn off and i can relax if you didn’t already pick up on it: the in-game effects/transitions (how ‘bout that record drop?) were synced directly via streaming timecode with what was happening live in times square this was such a blast to make happen.
