The criticisms towards Cole Young from Mortal Kombat fans is fully warranted. Lewis Tan does a good job with the material he’s given, but this is Mortal Fucking Kombat. There didn’t need to be an original audience surrogate character created when you have a plethora of iconic fighters to choose from. Hopefully Cole Young is killed off and Tan gets brought back as Kenshi through some Quan Chi magic or something like that.
