If they had watched Jungkook’s last livestream they would know that him saying that he would be open about what was bothering him if he was a soloist and not a member of a group is him stating that he considers their relationship as nothing more than a work contract.
If they were family, as army love to claim they are, he would have gone to them and they would have been telling him not to worry about how it might reflect on the group, or them, and to say what was on his mind anyway. That’s what real family do, they encourage and support, they don’t worry more about the impact on their careers than they do the happiness of a family member
Jungkook had his family by his side when he opened up to fans during that livestream and it wasn’t the members of BTS

One thing I do agree on is that BTS is “family” if you think of family as being a group of people who wear that label purely because a set of circumstances brought them together.
But that is circumstantial family not true family! True family are people who would do anything for you, who love and care for you enough that they put your welfare and happiness above everything else. True family don’t expect you to be the only one making sacrifices while they make none of their own. True family encourage and support you to speak out about things that are overly concerning to you whether or not they might reflect negatively on them by association.
Circumstantial family is what exists when someone states outright that if they weren’t part of that “family” they would have spoken honestly about something that was weighing heavily on them. True family when hearing someone say that would have instantly backed them up and supported them to be honest 🤷♀️
