Quick, coordinated response leads to arrest in shots fired call Just after 10 p.m. last week, #WPD officers responded to a parking lot disturbance near 120th Ave and Huron St, that escalated when a man confronted a couple, damaged a vehicle, and fired multiple rounds striking a car. He took off, but with assistance from @BrightonPolice, our suspect was quickly located and taken into custody. Officers transported him to Adams County Jail. Jose Maldonado Miranda, 39, is now facing the following charges: - Attempted First Degree Murder (F2) - Menacing (F5) x2 - Crime of Violence We don't tolerate that type of behavior here. #WestyPD It's important to note all persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Officers are on scene at the 500 block of S 2nd Ave investigating an armed carjacking. Suspect is at large, and described as a Hispanic male, last seen wearing khaki pants and a tie-dye blue hoodie with a sunflower on the back. If you have info, please call 303-288-1535 or 911.
