Bob has been with me since 2007. I rescued him at the request of a dying patient, whose daughters had sadly decided they would kill her beloved cat after her passing. Born around 2004, Bob had spent six weeks locked in a bathroom, receiving only the basics—food, water, and a litter box. He would sit on the bathroom sink, staring at his reflection in the mirror to pass the time. It broke my heart to hear how isolated he was. When I first brought Bob home, it took him a few weeks to understand that he was no longer a prisoner and that he had free reign of the house.
