i hear this take so often and it's rly weird. i don't think anyone is arguing that getting to the top 5% of a skill takes even a tiny fraction of the effort that getting to the top 0.01% does but that doesn't mean people in the top 5% are terrible. is a weird ego take

I mean yeah, once you hit Masters it can be argued that you've just started to actually learn the game. You really don't know how to do anything even remotely correctly UNTIL you get to Masters. When you get there, you can begin to learn how the game should be played.
