Why @TONMemeRepublic Must Be Brought Back — and Why the Blockchain Will Come Alive on Day One 1.TonMemeRepublic is what brings activity back to TON. From the moment TonMemeRepublic launched, a mini meme season began on the network. Within three weeks, major projects were launched — Maximus, Hogwarts, Dickshoti, Tonski, and others. I’ve listed only the most notable ones, each reaching a market cap of $500k+. In addition, there were a large number of launches with market caps of $50k–200k+, consistently attracting new participants. 2.The potential was much greater. A number of strong teams never launched because TonMemeRepublic was suspended. Their projects could easily have reached $500k–$1M+ in market capitalization. 3.After TonMemeRepublic was stopped, activity died as well. As soon as TonMemeRepublic was put on pause, on-chain activity dropped sharply. For developers, TON began to look like a questionable blockchain: there is a growing feeling that this could be yet another experiment — or even a scam — from TonFoundation, with no guarantees that TonMemeRepublic will ever return. 4.It’s unclear why the changes are taking so long.
