Completely agree. The British state introduced the idea of spent convictions before most of us were born.
A wise thing. Forgiveness and asking to be forgiven is a very important thing for any sensible, functional society.

Louise Haigh did some stupid things with mobile phones in her 20s for which she was convicted with a conditional discharge - ie she received no punishment beyond the conviction itself - 12 years ago. I don't think we should hold that against her for the rest of her life.

The thing a lot of Scots don't seem to understand is that when it comes to football you're basically an irrelevance to us. You're minnows who qualify for a major tournament once in a generation and when you do you crash out in the group stages anyway.
