That’s a clear no from @Keir_Starmer 👎 at PMQ’s today
He still cannot answer a straightforward question on how this government will support British farmers with spiralling fertiliser costs.
The UK is already dangerously reliant on imported nitrogen after the last domestic ammonia plant at Billingham was lost under previous @Conservatives governments.
Instead of fixing that strategic failure, Labour is heading towards a new additional carbon tax on fertilisers from January 2027, while fuel duty is set to creep back up too.
Things are on track to get worse yet ☹️ Crops are not economic to plant in the UK any longer …… this should be a national emergency
Other countries back their farmers and give them confidence to plant. Ours offers platitudes, diversions and non answers ☹️

With a heavy heart, I need to share that Farmers to Action Ltd has now been legally dissolved. This step was taken to protect our directors and members from risks created by actions some wished to take outside our constitution. Every member who joined through the website has been refunded, and any remaining funds will be donated to a farming mental health charity — supporting the very community that has stood with us.
This decision was incredibly difficult, but please know this: our spirit isn’t broken. The strength of our network lives on in the connections we’ve built, the WhatsApp groups that keep us close, and the determination shared between farmers everywhere.
