TESHA (1929) was one for the Maria Corda fans, but the scene I enjoyed most was an early one (slated in 1929 in the Evening Sentinel) inside a factory's 'Fab shop'. This must surely have been the real thing. This type of manufacturing footage is rare in film compared to real life

Also, I enjoyed @bryonydixon's talks. Didn't expect to find the Boer War footage as interesting as I did. Wondering why the river crossing scenes were so popular and if there was a connection between them & similar shots in later westerns. #BSFF19

A few #BSFF19 tweets I didn't have for yesterday. 1stly @best2vilmabanky sung the intro THE MIDNIGHT GIRL (1919) - the opening image is a basic score for the song, presumably provided for that purpose. Really added an extra note of authenticity. +So much great detail in the talk.
