Job Title: Audio Engineer (recording studio) Amherst Island Radio 101.3 FM is an established non-profit community-led radio station that’s been operating in Loyalist Township, ON, for 20+ years. We play an eclectic mix of music, have over 150 live musical performances in-studio each year, and showcase local events and happenings throughout Eastern Ontario. Our Media Hub in Bath is a state-of-the-art 1,500 sq ft live performance studio for musicians, where residents in our municipality can professionally record music and go live-to-air on 101.3 FM. The recording studio will be supported by trained staff and volunteers ensuring efficient use and stewardship of this amazing community resource. We are excited to welcome a youth aged 15 to 30 as an Audio Engineer to our Team in Summer 2026 for 8 weeks as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program! Key responsibilities include: -Liaising with local musicians to invite them to use the Live Recording Facilities at the Media Hub at 218 Main Street in Bath -Hosting musicians in-studio for live musical performances on 101.3 FM, as well as recording tracks for music production -Editing, mixing and mastering audio tracks with modern digital equipment (Allen & Heath QU-24 and Reaper Digital Audio Workstation) -Attending local music festivals representing Island Radio -Conducting interviews with local musicians and reporting on local music news -Creating images and video to raise awareness about local musicians on social media streams managed by Island Radio (X/Facebook/Instagram/TikTok) -Supporting music video production -Collaborating with other Island Radio team members on initiatives of the non-profit organization Term: 8 weeks, 35 hours per week, starting in May or June (flexible start date) Hourly Wage: $18.10 / hr Work Location: 218 Main Street in Bath and 5830 Front Road in Stella.
