@BasedMikeLee This is an abomination. I thought this issue was settled. Apparently not. We must use stronger actions to make sure federal dollars cannot be used to permanently disfigure children.

I just walked into CVS in D.C. and you have to ask an employee to unlock the door if you want to buy garbage bags and paper towels I asked why? “People steal.” The employee then explained that in D.C. they don’t hold criminals so they have organized rings who steal then hand it to others to resell it. The robbers can steal up to a certain amount worth and will be released each time so they max out. This is not a third world country. This is our nation’s capital. This is what Democrats are doing to our cities.

Fertilization is not random, and the fastest sperm does not always win: in reality, the egg decides who succeeds. While for decades we were taught that fertilization is a race won by the fastest sperm, a study published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B shows how human reproduction actually works. Scientists analyzed follicular fluid from 60 couples undergoing fertility treatment at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester, UK. They discovered that the egg releases chemical signals (chemoattractants) that actively attract sperm from certain men over others. Through these chemical signals, the egg exerts its own biological selection, influencing which sperm manage to get close. The egg appears to favor sperm that offer optimal genetic compatibility with its own genome — particularly in genes related to the immune system — which may help produce healthier offspring. Interestingly, this cellular preference does not always align with the couple’s conscious partner choice. In many cases, eggs showed stronger attraction to sperm from non-partner males. This chemical communication demonstrates that female biology continues to evaluate and select options even after intercourse. Understanding this process could lead to more precise solutions for unexplained infertility. Science continues to reveal the remarkable level of biological interaction that occurs during reproduction. [Fitzpatrick, J. L. et al. (2020). Chemical signals from eggs facilitate cryptic female choice in humans. Proceedings of the Royal Society B, 287(1928), 20200805. DOI: 10.1098/rspb.2020.0805]

@Schwalm5132 You’re right, the Democrats leaders are not fools, but their base is exactly just that: Fools that have been tricked by the divisive propaganda pushed by news and social media.

In Special Forces, we were trained to really pay attention to the language people use. There's a saying we lived by: "words have meaning". That meant breaking them down carefully, what exactly is being said, and who shares the same understanding of those terms? That's why phrases like "our democracy" immediately make me pause and ask: who exactly is "our"? Am I part of that group? Are everyday Americans like me and my community included? It's the exact same question that comes up in office politics when someone says "we." Who is that "we," really? If I just relied on my own definition or the standard dictionary one, I'd naturally assume I was included. But that's the trap. Without clear definitions, laid out upfront, like you're required to do in a college research paper to prevent misunderstandings, assumptions can lead you way off track. The Democrats aren't fools. As @DataRepublican lays out in this thread, they've made it crystal clear that the rest of us aren't part of their "our." It's a closed club, and that's the point
DataRepublican (small r)@DataRepublican

🧵 THREAD: You've heard the phrase "OUR DEMOCRACY" a million times. But what exactly is "OUR DEMOCRACY"? 🤔 When they say "democracy," they don't mean a republic. They don't mean consent of the governed. They don't mean your right to choose your own leaders. They mean a system where "institutions" - NGOs, multilaterals, the permanent bureaucracy - advance a set of values they consider settled: equality, social justice, cosmopolitanism, global governance. These values aren't proposals to be voted on. They're treated as moral prerequisites that must be true *before* your vote counts. Despite what they say, they aren't for checks and balances. Checks and balances limit what government can do to you. This limits what you can do to *them*. The brakes are on accountability, not power. The institutions that set the boundaries of acceptable policy have put themselves beyond the reach of the electorate, and they call that arrangement "democracy." Trump has been an existential threat to this system since the moment he said "drain the swamp" ... because the swamp IS the system. When he threatened those institutions, he didn't threaten the republic. He threatened their immunity from it. And they said so. On camera. At their own events. In their own words. As always, patience as I pull together the thread.👇

Pretty sure his administration was the inflection point for the downward trajectory we are experiencing now. And I voted for the man.

First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke out on the reasons for their rate increases. 19. First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it. 29. First President to go on multiple "global apology tours" and concurrent "insult our friends" tours. 30. First President to go on over 17 lavish vacations, in addition to date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayers. 31. First President to have personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife. 32. First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense. 33. First President to fly in a personal trainer from Chicago at least once a week at taxpayer expense. 34. First President to repeat the Quran and tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth. 35. First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states (Mexico vs Arizona). 36. First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance because they "volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences." 37. Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion. I had been under the impression he hadn't been doing ANYTHING... Such an accomplished individual... in the eyes of the ignorant maybe.!.

@jerseyh0mo That’s so false. You need to take some economics classes. More government jobs = lower GDP & more socialist spending which over time only serves to increase debt thus pushing us further into debt, debasing our currency, and lower every Americans purchasing power via the dollar.

@ROOZVA This is exactly the type of tyranny our founding fathers warned us about. And it’s a massively slippery slope that will seek to take all of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, if we don’t do something to fix it.

Democrats just banned open carry in Virginia. This is blatantly illegal. SCOTUS has said multiple times that states can’t do this. Democrats just don’t care. They don’t care about the Constitution, to them it’s just an annoying roadblock to their authoritarian ambitions.

Incredible. USAID was funding the SPLC through an organization called the Tides Center, based in San Francisco. From 2016 through 2024, USAID granted $27 million to the Tides Network to “strengthen global civil society organizations, promote transparency, accountability, citizen engagement, and serve as fiscal agent for USAID’s Civil Society Innovation Initiative.” The Tides Center set up a fund through its Tides Foundation with that money for the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Vote Your Voice” initiative. The executive director of the Tides Center is Ayesha Khanna. She was co-chair of Women for Obama in Atlanta, Georgia.

When I testified before the Senate about my daughter’s death at the hands of an illegal immigrant, Senator Durbin couldn’t even offer the basic decency to acknowledge our family’s pain. He has far more compassion for those who break the rules to enter our nation than for the innocent Americans left behind to bury their children. That moment told me everything about Dick Durbin. Beneath the bipartisan image is a career politician driven by ideology, power, and political theater—not moral courage. For families like ours, victims like Katie are treated as collateral damage in his calculus. Illinois deserves better. Voters should remember who stood with grieving families—and who didn’t. @SenatorDurbin say her name, Senator. It’s Katie.
Senator Dick Durbin@SenatorDurbin

Today, I met with the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation to discuss how we can fight back against the Trump Administration’s unprecedented attacks against immigrant communities. I am the son of an immigrant, and I will never turn my back on the people who built this country.
