IRCC's Authorized Paid Representative Portal, Employer Portal and Secure Account have been mostly non-functional since Jan 16, 2026. Though IRCC is aware of the outage no guidance has been provided as to what applicants should do if their status is expiring.

Unsurprisingly, representatives are either unable to login to the @CitImmCanada PR Portal or to complete and submit an application under the Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots (HCWP) which opened today at 10 am and which has a cap. I hate these @CitImmCanada hunger games!

Programs which operate with small caps and on a first-in basis prejudice applicants with larger families/dependants, who are older and/or who have a lengthier education/work/travel/address history over single applicants. It also prejudices those applicants who are less tech savvy

The #HCCP / #HSW will reopen on January 1st, 2024, at 9 am EST. @CitImmCanada will temporarily close the program from 8:30 am to 9:00 am EST to restart the caps. Previous updates have led to the PR Portal crashing. @CitImmCanada recommends logging in after 9am and clearing cache

That’s not entirely true. IRCC Officers do call employers/clients/reps on occasion which is why it is very confusing for folks to distinguish real from fake. #cdnimm

Since July 27th have you been able to complete forms in the PR Rep/PR Portals for PR and PR Card applications and they stay completed (info doesn't delete in Family Info) AND continue to show as "ready to submit" or complete allowing you to submit? @CitImmCanada widespread issue

10 days post PR Portal update and we are still dealing with major glitches... Now forms won't stay "completed" info deletes and status of form reverts back to "in progress" @CitImmCanada @MarcMillerVM there has to be a better way - this portal should not be mandatory!

If they have real, demonstrated experience (visa offices are experts) get them here quick. Women are leaving the workforce in droves. Because of the failed caregiver pilot programs.

They can unpause after demonstrated proof of 1 year of work in the position. Shift this workload to embassies.

@ratnaomi @kareemelassal @IrCC @SeanFraserMP Employers must have some “skin in the game” for the caregiver pilot programs. Lots of fraud here. The program is larded up with lesser-skilled applicants that have connections in Canada. Because the real workers can’t afford this application process.

@ratnaomi @kareemelassal @IrCC @SeanFraserMP Allow a new stream of caregivers to come in as TFWs on one year contracts - this will relieve pressure at CPC-Edmonton and give the work to slower visa offices. Give them a 4yr PR path or allow them to switch to pilot program if they meet the requirements.
