Tidjane struggled to impact games in Charlotte this year. Allowing him to stretch his legs in Greensboro is good for the team’s current prospects and his long-term development. Still barely 20-years-old. A lot of folks victory lapping this decision but I’m still being patient.

@BrodenCharlie @malquiza8 It was clear who was the better prospect. No one had even heard of Salaun before news broke that we might pick him. It was a terrible pick then and will be for the foreseeable future.

@Jackson_T_K @malquiza8 I’ve watched more bad tidjaun salaun minutes than I would have liked to but he’s definitely shown flashes and signs development in his time in Charlotte. Chef Jeff picked a 6”10 wing in a weak draft, his job is to try and find value in the draft. 6”10 3&Ds have value in the nba.

@Jackson_T_K @malquiza8 Disagree, weak draft and we took a shot on a 19 year old with a sick frame with great character and work ethic. Can’t overlook the character piece. Look at the 2025 draft, chef Jeff has a type. Class is dead today so I got time to respond.

@Jackson_T_K @malquiza8 Yes but chef Jeff could have also picked Edey or Clingan. Both looked like better picks than salaun but now you look at our center situation and it’s cheaper and just as productive as it would have been if we drafted a big last year.

I’m not here to speculate either way. All I will say is this back and forth is the same thing that happened with Tre Mann last year which is why he ended up missing a majority of the season. Obviously, Tre Mann ended up resigning with the team while the Bucks wanted his services so I wouldn’t think there is any relationship damage there. So maybe a 2nd opinion is just a 2nd opinion.
